Rants

I THINK IT is time that we somehow got our Congress to understand the meaning of "representative." Who exactly are they "representing"?

SO THE ELDERLY property-tax freeze is complicated. I would guess the VW project was fairly complex, but it got done, didn't it?

THE AARP has sold out is members by supporting the current health care bill. Desire for additional insurance premium profits has won the day.

TELL ME WHY I'll be fined for not signing up for national health care, when they won't cover me anyway. Pre-existing condition, too high premiums.

WELL OFF AND rich folks don't get the health care issue. Ordinary fools let them lead us around by our uneducated noses!

SEPARATION OF church and state is the first statement of the First Amendment to the Constitution. Read before you rant.

I JUST SPENT two weeks in Florida and did not pay sales tax on groceries. Wow! What a great feeling!

I JUST FIGURED out that the haze hanging over our Tennessee Valley is from all the meth lab fires!

IS THERE NOT enough local news to do even 30 minutes of real news? At 5:06 p.m. station here switches to nationwide news.

THE STATE'S AIDS Drug Assistance Program, which now has a waiting list, is an example of government-run health care.

WHERE ARE all the jobs, you ask? Many of them are in Mexico, China and India. Shame on American businesses that took them there.

You mean we don't like to be told we MUST buy gov't approved heath insurance or face felony jail time? The House "Health Care" bill SAYS YOU WILL GO TO JAIL failing to purchase GOVERNMENT APPROVED HEAL INSURANCE... Section 7203 - misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year. Section 7201 - felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years."

"Fear not, the people may be deluded for a moment, but cannot be corrupted. "~ Andrew Jackson

More Americans are seeing the "progressive's" treachery ( if not out and out treason ) from both parties, trying to hijack our government and turn us into a banana republic.

There is a reason why the 10th Amendment was needed to seal the deal on the Constitution and those fears have shown to be very real as this and past administrations have disregarded the Constitution.

State sovereignty is one good way to stop the insanity. The other best way is to elect people who's re-election is not paid for by special interests. Special interests have written the Health care bills so they can profit. SEIU and AARP are prime players in the raping of health care system for their own profit.

Wait, you mean you want to protest if you are required to carry insurance, or face legal penalties.

"The DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) in Tennessee is informed of all insurance cancellations, lapses, and non-renewals. Officers also ask for proof when a vehicle is stopped. Failure to have insurance results in vehicle registration renewals being denied, licenses being revoked and heavy fines. Failure to have a valid license and insurance coverage results in vehicle impoundment and jail time"

Wow look at that, if you do not carry Auto Insurance (Which is money that does not go to the Government it goes to the Insurance Companies), you can face "Heavy Fines" and even if it escelates "Jail Time"

There you go folks, get on your band wagon, there it is a LAW that has been in effect for years that is GOVERNMENT mandated that you carry INSURANCE or else face fines and possibly jail.

Jump on em, tell them they are tyrants! Tell them it violates the Constitution! It's Unamerican.

Sick Em!

Think Moron! You don't have to drive! If you don't want to buy car insurance, don't buy a car! You are forced to buy health insurance no matter what under the socialists' health care plan. The only way to get out of this one is to not be alive or to move out of the country. Or actually, quit your job and live on public assistance according to the socialists, who want to encourage as many people as possible to live off the government and who relish in punishing anyone who works hard.

First off thank you for lowering this to name calling.

but in answer. Tou don't have to go to the doctor/hospital. When you get sick no one places a gun to yoru head and makes you go to the doctor.

It's the same process. If you have a car you are required by law to Carry Insurance. If you go the the hospital (under this plan) you are required to Carry insurance.

If the Main Stream Media isn't completely on the side of the Far Left, could someone please tell me why not a word from them on the proof of the GLOBAL WARMING fraud ?

Exusiai, you are missing the point. You are correct that no one forces you to go to the doctor if you are ill, but the government is STILL going to force you to buy health insurance or go to jail, whether you become ill or not.

If you CHOOSE not to buy a car, you will never be forced to buy car insurance.

Big difference.

Here's a thought...pick the jail door. Everything is free behind that one; health and dental care, cable TV, room and board, even kinky sex...well, downplay that one unless you are Liston's size.

Seriously, you all ARE aware that "government approved" is defined by the government, right? So who is to say what they will approve a couple years down line? Perhaps the government owned-and-operated public-option only??

And guess what, for years and years and years, your (and my ) tax dollars have been going to provide those services. Yes ladies and gentlemen, yoru tax dollars go to provide inmates with free room and board, three hot meals a day, color television, newspaper delivery, access to a libary, and the internet. All things you as law abiding citizens have to pay for, criminals get for free.

Who said crime doesn't pay?

I'm not saying that the health care reform bill is perfect, but it does have several items in it that will be useful.

Forcing insurance companies to compete for pricing will lower insurance prices.

Every person should have helth insurance. I'm not so sure about the prison aspect of it, but there should be penalties for not carrying it (Take note I speak as a person who has no insurance currently) .

My original point is I find it funny that people are Saying Obama is a Tyrant for Pushing this legislation, that it's unconstitutional / tyranical to place fines on people for not having a form of insurance, and yet these same people pay their auto insurance premier ever month and don't say a word. Why wasn't the person who pushed that bill called a Tyrant? Why wasn't that bill assaulted as "unconstitutional" ..

Why now? Why all of a sudden is this a bad thing?

You have been paying an insurance premium that you were FORCED to get for how many years now? For fear of what, Jail time, Fines, Loss of your Ability to drive?

IT's the same duck ladies and gentlemen it's just a different breed.

So, let me get this straight. Conservatives are happy paying their insurance premiums while someone else who can afford insurance refuses to pay for it? They want to provide free health care to people who have the means to buy insurance?

Wow, maybe I need to rethink my definition of conservatives. I did not realize they were so compassionate.
