The Chattanooga Times Free Press website, timesfreepress.com was awarded "Best Web Site" from the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association (SNPA) on October 21st, 2009. The SNPA selected timesfreepress.com out of 14 states. For more information about our award, read more below.

Simply click on that registration box, enter your name and (legitimate) email address, enter the code from that page. You can enter once per day per section. While you are there, check out the award-winning local coverage from our amazing editorial department.

On Monday, November 30th, 2009 after the close of the contest, we will select randomly from the entries. Those selected with the correct codes for the section will be contacted by email that they are a winner that afternoon. The winners will be announced in the print edition of the newspaper on Tuesday, December 1st, 2009. Selections with wrong codes for the day for that section or with bad email addresses will be disqualified and another entry will be selected.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press web site, timesfreepress.com won "Best Web Site" from the Southern Newspaper Publishers Association (SNPA) on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009. The SNPA covers 14 states. 2nd place went to the Knoxville News Sentinel (knoxnews.com) and 3rd place went to the Nashville Tennessean (tennessean.com). "Judges didn’t consider how many hits a Web site attracts. Instead, they looked at the overall Internet experience that a reader coming to the page should expect to have. Honors were awarded based on ease of navigation, search capabilities, attractive design, a promotional avenue for the print product, plus any extras offered by the site" stated on the SNPA.org web site.
