A 58-year-old man was arrested and booked today on three counts of child rape, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office reported.

David Blevins was arrested by today after Hamilton County received indictments containing the charges from Sullivan County, Tenn., said sheriff’s office spokeswoman Janice Atkinson in a news release.

Fugitive division detectives found Mr. Blevins at the Big Ridge Apartments at 6320 Hixson Pike and transported him to the Hamilton County Jail, Ms. Atkinson said.

He will be picked up by Sullivan County authorities Tuesday, she said.

Mr. Blevins also faces a Dec. 4 court date in Hamilton County on seven counts of aggravated sexual battery, Ms. Atkinson said.
