Rutherford keeping all doors open

Former Chattanooga City Councilwoman Marti Rutherford, who lives in Commissioner Curtis Adams’ County Commission district, said she wouldn’t make any announcements about a run for his seat until the first of the year.

After Mr. Adams’ Monday announcement that he would not seek re-election, Ms. Rutherford said she has spoken with several people who would be interested in her seeking the seat.

“I’m pragmatic enough to not close any doors,” she said.
