Chattanooga police continue shooting investigation

— Chattanooga police continue to investigate Wednesday night’s shooting that occurred at 2800 4th Ave.

Police identified Kevin Brown, 29, of 1105 S. Willow St. as the man shot in the right wrist, right abdomen, upper right chest and upper left back, said spokeswoman Lt. Kim Noorbergen in a news release.

Witnesses told police that a black male in all black clothing, a hooded sweatshirt and white mask approached Mr. Brown in a parking lot. Witnesses also told police they heard a single gunshot and saw Mr. Brown fall to the ground, Lt. Noorbergen said.

The witnesses then heard several more shots. Mr. Brown was taken to Parkridge hospital and transferred to Erlanger hospital, where he underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition, Lt. Noorbergen said.

The suspect reportedly fled north on 4th Avenue. Anyone with information should call the Chattanooga Police Department at 698-2525.
