UTC women lead UGA at half

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team hit five first-half 3-pointers and got 16 points from forward Shanara Hollinquest to take a 36-33 lead over No. 16 Georgia into halftime Thursday.

Hollinquest also had nine rebounds as UTC outrebounded the much bigger Lady Bulldogs 22-18. Georgia's Ashley Houts, a Trenton native with her own cheering section at McKenzie Arena, had 9 points and four assists in the half.
