Starting Tuesday, parking on a portion of Broad Street will have a new angle.
On that day, work will begin to convert the parallel parking slots in the 200 block of Broad Street to back-in angle parking, according to a city news release. Back-in parking means just that — cars will back into the slots instead of pulling in front first.
The alteration will provide seven additional parking spaces, the release said.
During the changeover, the outside travel lane of Broad Street and the parking area will be closed while parking meters are moved and parking slots are painted, according to the release.
