It is appropriate that our U.S. Constitution protects the right of Americans to bear arms. But it is also appropriate for guns to be prohibited in bars and restaurants that serve alcohol.
Guns certainly are not "needed" in bars and restaurants. This is not the "wild West," and should not be. We need to avoid unnecessary dangers.
So a judge has ruled correctly to strike down a "guns-in-bars" law involving places where alcohol is served. That's common sense that should be established by sensible
legislation, and not be left to the courts.

If you can have a gun at car lot where you were just cheated or at a psychiatrists office where you may be told you are crazy or at the pharmacy where two weeks of medication may cost you $800 or in church where you may be told your a bad person or...
But you can't have your gun while you relax and have a meal? That's just not right. Besides there is no way to predict when and where you will need to shoot somebody.
nucanuck,
We are in 100% agreement on this one.
Unfortunately SCOTTYM,my post was tongue firmly in cheek.
Some day we will agree on something, then we will both probably scramble to reconsider.
I sowetnly walk into that one. Nuck-nuck!!!
Too bad you admitted it was tongue in cheek NC - it actually made sense - which made me suspicious anyway :)
