Musicians jam at Grace Alive!

Amateur musicians will gather at 7 p.m. Sunday at Grace United Methodist Church to play Christmas music.

Grace Alive! will be an informal, come-and-go coffeehouse-style celebration of seasonal Christian selections. In addition to stage performing, musicians will be able to conduct impromptu jams with other musicians in the church's Sunday school rooms.

"Music brings people of all kinds together," said organizer Linda Coniglio, "and everyone enjoys Christmas music. It seemed like a natural thing to do."

Performers are expected to include acoustic gospel, contemporary Christian, chamber musicians, singers and instrumentalists.

Throughout the evening, the audience will have the opportunity to sing traditional carols.

Food and beverages will be available.

The church is at 9833 Hixson Pike in Soddy-Daisy.

For more information, call John or Linda Coniglio at 843-2360. The church's Web site is www.graceumcsd.org.
