Scott Parker is the new head of retail banking for the more than 70 locations in BB&T’s Tennessee region, BB&T State President Missy Wallen has announced.
As senior vice president and regional retail banking manager, Mr. Parker is responsible for some 400 employees conducting retail and small business services for BB&T financial centers in East Tennessee and Nashville, western North Carolina, North Georgia and southern Virginia.
He will also have a supervisory role over six large branches and sales and service leaders throughout BB&T’s service area.
“Scott’s new role requires exceptional management, organizational and leadership skills,” said Ms. Wallen. “He possesses all three characteristics.
Warehouse Row hosting show
Warehouse Row will be the venue for the 36th Annual Houston Museum Antiques Show, according to real estate investment firm Jamestown.
The show, a Chattanooga tradition featuring more than 35 antique dealers, will be Feb. 26-28, 2010.
The annual antiques convention is hosted by the historic Houston Museum of Decorative Arts.

Attorney Holland joins local firm
Attorney and Chattanooga native Adam U. Holland recently joined the law firm of Duncan, Hatcher & Hixson P.C.
Mr. Holland is a 2005 graduate of the University of Tennessee and a 2009 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law. While in law school, he was a member of the University of Tennessee College of Law National Trial Team and was the winner of the 2008 Ray H. Jenkins Mock Trial Competition.
Mr. Holland will practice in litigation. He is married with one child and lives in Ooltewah.
