Property crimes investigators with the Chattanooga Police Department are seeking leads in a business robbery that occurred at 1401 E. 23rd St.
Early Sunday morning, police were called to the Sugar and Spice bar after reports that a man had been beaten and robbed, said Sgt. Jerri Weary, police spokeswoman.
Police found 53-year-old Ronnie Freeman suffering from lacerations to the head and face from being pistol-whipped during the robbery. According to witnesses, two men entered the business and demanded money from Mr. Freeman. Both men hit the victim several times with their guns before he was able to fulfill their demands, police were told.
The attackers got away with a little more than $1,200 as they fled the business. The victim’s current medical condition is not known, according to police.

Were they black or white? Knowing would help.... Don't ya think?
Before long the PD will describe suspects as "entities" that may or may not be black, white, male, female, short, tall, fat, skinny, with hair, bald, Hispanic accent, mute,. . .
Ah-the magic of PC and diversity.
