Rants

IF ANN COULTER and Sarah Palin are the inspiration of the GOP, the future of the Dems is bright, indeed!

I DIDN'T VOTE for Obama and I'm not racist. I do not like his policies. Who paid for the bid to get the Olympics?

WE ARE GOING to miss the leadership of Gov. Bredesen when his term ends.

DON'T WORRY, if the confused council votes to not annex an area, the mayor will make them vote again until they get it right!

OFFICIALS MOVED heaven and earth to land VW, but they can't speed up the five-year timeline to widen Bonny Oaks Drive? Please ...

CHATTANOOGA Housing Authority throws $3 million into a black hole. What happens? HUD gives them another $4,800,000. There's something wrong with this country.

IF OUR SCHOOLS are doing so great then how come most college freshmen need refresher courses in math and English?

IF CONGRESS can get good, quality primary care for $503 a year, why can't I?

HOW LUCKY am I, to have survived over 50 years without having a government takeover of the health care system!

RIGHT ONTO Holtzclaw from 23rd is an accident waiting to happen! Traffic westbound is an adventure. Cut the curb, please, engineer!

BECAUSE HEALTH insurance companies give large donations to politicians, efforts to reform the industry are getting bogged down in Congress.

Mr. Wiedmer If I had wanted a history lessen I would have bought a book not a news paper. 10.5.4 is old news. ESPN and everyother news outlet has had it for a week. Perhaps you could have written about one of the high school games that the paper chose not to cover, but you might have had to get out of the office for that. Spare us the history lessons and give us the news.

Wouldn't it be nice if all of Hamilton Co. was benifiting from the new EPB cable and phone service.
