One good day turned into one good week that guarantees a spot for Luke List in this week's event of the Nationwide Tour.

List Monday-qualified for the Chattanooga Classic then finished tied for 19th which advances him to the Miccosukee Championship next week in Miami where the winner gets more than $110,000.

List shot a 5-under-par 67 on Sunday for his fourth consecutive sub-par round in a Nationwide Tour event.

"Roberto Castro made a suggestion and I started rolling it where I as looking," List said about his putting. "If you can roll it where you're looking you'll make more putts."

List advanced by virtue of a top-25 finish at the Wichita Open earlier this year which gave him exemption into the next event in Springfield, Mo.

List will skip the Tarheel Tour Championship in Pinehurst next week to play for a bigger payday in Miami.

"Any given week I think I can win out here," List said. "I feel like I'm closing in on a good finish. I'm playing well. And if I get putts to fall, that could be my week."

Teater's Troops

Josh Teater doesn't have the largest gallery on the Nationwide Tour.

But it's easy to know where he is on the golf course. Just look for the fans wearing Teater's Troop T-shirts. And on Sunday at the Chattanooga Classic, the shirts were just a few holes behind the final group.

Teater's troops are a collection of family and friends who watch as many shots as possible no matter the location of the tournament.

"That's my family -- mom, dad, step-dad, aunts, cousins," said Teater, who won a month ago in Utah. "It started in there when a friend showed up with a shirt written in Sharpie, and it's molded into what we've got here."

What Teater had on Sunday was about a dozen groupies in blue t-shirts bearing the Teater's Troops logo which is a combination of two criss-crossing golf clubs, one golf ball, and a military stripes badge.

"I've sold 85 shirts, and I have to order some more," said his mother, Donna. "It's fun. We had no clue he was going to be this successful."

The Chattanooga Classic has had seven different winners in its seven seasons. ... 19-under 269 is the highest score to ever win the event which tops Justin Bolli's 267. ... Former Dalton resident Blake Adams tied for 15th at 14 under. ... All but two golfers who made the cut finished at 2 under or better with Shane Bertsch shooting even and Bob Burns shooting 1 over. ... For the first time in tournament history, the par-3 No. 7 played as the second hardest hole of the tournament with an average of 3.157. ... As usual, the par-4 13th played the hardest at 4.429.
