Chattanooga: Police investigate reported kidnapping in Brainerd

The Chattanooga Police Department and FBI are investigating a reported kidnapping in the Brainerd area.

A woman told police she and an acquaintance began arguing at her home before both got into her vehicle and the suspect pulled out a handgun, police spokeswoman Lt. Kim Noorbergen said in a news release. The pair drove to Walmart, where the woman went inside and told a friend to call police, Lt. Noorbergen said.

Details remain sketchy, and police are interviewing a suspect, Lt. Noorbergen said. No injuries were reported.
