Hamilton County commissioners voted Thursday to keep all but one of the sitting judicial commissioners, often called magistrates, on the job.
Larry Ables will remain the chief magistrate and Bob Davis and Yolanda Mitchell will also stay on. The commission voted 5-4 to replace Marty Lasley with attorney Jennifer Lloyd.
Commissioners said Mr. Lasley raised concerns when he suggested cutting back on the number of magistrates and judges in the county.
