Hamilton County: Chamber lobbyist Ledford resigns

Hayes Ledford, the lobbyist for the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce, has resigned from his post, according to a news release from the Chamber.

Mr. Ledford faced criticism last week over comments made on his Facebook page regarding the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists in which he used the term “ragheaded.”

“I let my deep sense of patriotism get the best of me in posting comments about the individuals who attacked America and the terrorists who continue to target our country,” Mr. Ledford said in a statement.
