The City of Chickamauga has announced that construction of 2.8 miles of Chickamauga City Schools sidewalks is about to start. The Georgia Department of Transportation project consists of the following major elements: concrete sidewalks, stormwater piping and structures, and curb and gutter improvements for various locations, including on West Sixth Street, Pearl Street, Cove Road, West 12th Street, Crescent Avenue, English Avenue, Glass Mill Road, West 14th Street, Euclid Avenue, Lee Street, West 10th Street, Hood Avenue and Gordon Street. The project will be constructed within existing public right-of-ways.
