Chattanooga: Local businessman out on bond after aggravated rape arrest

The 44-year-old president of a local technology company has been released from jail after being arrested on a charge of aggravated statutory rape involving a 14-year-old girl.

Gregory Bryan Austin, president of CTC Technology, was released from the Hamilton County Jail after posting a $15,000 bond, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. He is due to appear in court May 24.

Mr. Austin was arrested after investigators received complaints from the girl's mother, who found "inappropriate sexual messages" on her daughter's cell phone, according to a news release from the department.
