To celebrate her upcoming appearance at Life: An Expo for Boomers and Seniors on Aug. 15, Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union is conducting a Betty White look-alike contest.
The clothing should be easy: Alfred Dunner separates to approximate her Snickers commercial, bedazzled track suits to look like her “Hot in Cleveland” character, maybe a pastel polyester dress from her “Golden Girls” days.
Harder might be nailing the 88-year-old’s on-screen demeanor: sweet on the outside, tart on the inside.
Contestants may submit a look-alike photo of themselves or someone they know. Props such as wigs are permitted. The rules specify that you must be at least 18.
You have until Monday to e-mail your photo and contact information to community@tvfcu for judging by WRCB news anchor Jed Mescon. Or you can mail entries to TVFCU Photo Contest, P.O. Box 23967, Chattanooga, TN 37422 (entry must be received by the Monday deadline). The winner will be notified on Aug. 11 and featured on tvfcu.com.
The winner will receive a Fan for Life prize package, which includes two admission tickets to the expo, two VIP passes to a private reception to meet White and make a photo, and a $100 gift card.
