Wamp concedes loss

U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp, R-Tenn., said he was unable to overcome the money of Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam in Thursday's GOP gubernatorial race.

In an emotional concession speech in his hometown of Chattanooga, Wamp offered his support for Haslam and conceded, "I wasn't able to overcome the angst about Washington D.C."

Wamp, who is giving up his seat in Congress this year, said he didn't know yet about this future plans.

"I don't know what the future holds, but I know who holds the future," he said in a tearful speech to his family and supporters.

"I trust the people of Tennessee as we go forward."
