Wamp leads in Hamilton County

— U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp is leading the gubernatorial contest in his hometown, according to early results from the Hamilton County Elections Commission.

With six of 136 precincts reporting, Wamp had 59 percent of the early vote in Hamilton County's Republic primary race for governor; Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam had 36.2 percent of the early Hamilton County vote, while Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey hd 4.2 percent
