Why Am I a Teacher’ lecture

John Perricone was the keynote speaker as the Chickamauga City School System began preplanning for the 2010-2011 school year. Perricone has more than 27 years of classroom experience as a health educator in the Maine-Endwell School District in New York and has numerous local, state and national excellence in teaching awards to his credit. In his one hour, 45-minute lecture/workshop entitled “Why Am I a Teacher? Developing a Philosophical Identity,” Perricone compellingly invited the audience to participate in a series of introspective exercises that are designed to help educators better know themselves and the professional path upon which they have embarked.
