East Ridge wants to close Superior Creek Lodge

The East Ridge City Council announced today the city will attempt to close down the Superior Creek Lodge because it has become a “public nuisance to the surrounding residents, business owners and taxpayers of East Ridge.”

“The number of calls for service to crimes and other incidents far surpasses any other motel, hotel, apartment complex, or any other property type in the city,” a public announcement states.

The extended-stay motel received a business license from the city on April 4, 2006, and, as of June 30, 2,654 “calls for service” to the city have been made in that period, the announcement says.
