Fort Oglethorpe girl shot in eye with BB gun

A 10-year-old girl from Fort Oglethorpe is in critical condition at Erlanger hospital after being shot in the eye by a BB gun, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at the girl’s great-aunt’s house on Highway 341 North in Chickamauga on Thursday afternoon, said Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson.

Investigators are interviewing witnesses and family members and the shooting is believed to be accidental, Wilson said in a news release.

What a disgusting remark, dao1980. I hope nothing like this ever happens to you or one of your family members.
