Students in Free Enterprise, a student organization at Southern Adventist University, is hosting Movie at the Greenway on Sunday, Sept. 5, on the Wolftever Greenway in Collegedale.
A family-friendly movie will begin about 8:30 p.m. Concession stands will open at 7 p.m.

Faith community nurse classes set
Memorial Health Care System will hold a series of classes for registered nurses who wish to participate in the Faith Community Nurse program.
Six sessions must all be completed in order to participate in the program. Three eight-hour days are scheduled for Sept. 22 and 29 and Oct. 6. Three-hour evening sessions will be held Oct. 12 and 26, and Nov. 9.
A commissioning/graduation ceremony will be held Nov. 16.
Registration deadline is Sept. 9.

MAC Cosmetics event at Belk
Today’s your last chance to get a MAC Cosmetics makeover and strut the catwalk at Hamilton Place.
The event is being held in conjunction with the nationwide launch of MAC’s new fall makeup collection, Fabulous Feline. It is sponsored by MAC in Belk Women’s Store from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Center Court in Hamilton Place.
Belk secured the event by being one of the top MAC producers last year. The event brings professional makeup artists from as far as New York City to demonstrate the latest make-up techniques. Hairstylists will be available to liven up hairdos for anyone wishing to take a walk on the runway. A catwalk instructor will provide lessons on fashion posing and demonstrate a variety of runway walks.

McMinn Central seeking alumni
McMinn Central High School Head Football Coach Josh Goodin would like to encourage all former Charger Lettermen to join the McMinn Central Lettermen’s Club.
The purpose in creating the Lettermen’s Club, which also will be known as “The Order of the Charger”, is to establish a means by which Charger football lettermen can have direct involvement in the tradition of McMinn Central football, according to a news release.
Membership fees will fund a new annual scholarship to be awarded a senior letterman for continuing education. They will also help establish a fund to purchase and present a leather-sleeved letterman’s jacket to each first-year letterman. They will be presented to athletes at the end-of-year football banquet.
Other projects of the new club will be to establish a short- and long-term capital improvement fund to support projects such as the renovation of the stadium and locker rooms.

Marcella Center classes Thursday
The Marcella Center in Sweetwater, Tenn., announces its fall classes will start Thursday at 4 p.m.
In addition to tutoring for grades 3-12, the center will offer GED preparation, morning and evening classes in adult beginning computer, and Spanish.

Canine agility trials in Ringgold
Chattapaws Agility Club will host a dog agility trial at Yates Farms in Ringgold, Ga., on Friday and Sept. 4.
Friday’s trial will start at 6 p.m. and continue until midnight. Saturday’s event will begin at 4 p.m. Show organizers said they are hosting night trials to avoid the heat of high daily temperatures.
The trials are free to spectators. Dogs are welcome, but they must be well-mannered and on a leash.
All proceeds from entry fees will benefit Chattapaws Agility Club.

Sock hop helps Christmas fund
The annual Labor Day weekend sock hop to benefit Stocking Full of Love Christmas fund will be held Sunday, Sept. 5, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Walker County Civic Center in Rock Spring, Ga.
Tickets are $3 per person, $5 per couple.
Music will be provided by Vicki Roberts, Brent Hubbard and Damaged Goods Band and Paul Smith and the Bourbon Street Band.
Randy Black will be the emcee and there will be a hula hoop contest, best 1950’s dress contest and best ’50s dance contest.
Health fair today at Heritage House
A health fair is being held today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Heritage House in East Brainerd’s Heritage Park, 1428 Jenkins Road.
The free fair offers speakers, exhibitors and demonstrations. Practitioners of acupuncture, chiropractic, fitness, integrative medicine, massage therapy, naturopathic, nutrition, women’s health, yoga and more will be on-site.
September AVA classes scheduled
Association for Visual Arts announces two classes coming in September. Courses are taught in the AVA Media Lab, accessible through the back of the AVA building, 30 Frazier Ave. Parking is free after 4 p.m.
Photoshop I will meet for four consecutive Tuesdays at 6 p.m. beginning Sept. 7.
Instructor Barry Setlich will teach the basics of digital imaging and how to navigate functions of Photoshop for the best digital output.
Class fee is $125 AVA members, $200 nonmembers.
Intro to Web Design will meet for five consecutive weeks at 6 p.m. beginning Thursday.
Instructor Danielle Swank will lead this introductory web design class, using Dreamweaver CS5. Students will be encouraged to develop and work on a website of their own during the course.

Butterfly walks set for Sept. 4
The Chattanooga chapter of the North American Butterfly Association will lead butterfly walks in Coolidge Park and Renaissance Park on Sat., Sept. 4, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The walks will begin at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River St. in Coolidge Park.
Representatives from NABA will lead the walks and teach people how to do butterfly counts. Bring comfortable walking shoes, hats, water, sunblock and close-focus binoculars if you have them.
Children are welcome if accompanied by parents or guardians.
