Hamilton County schools employees won't get a Christmas bonus this year after all.
County school board members voted tonight to table a proposal for a one-time bonus for school system employees.
Superintendent Jim Scales and Chief Financial Officer Tommy Kranz had proposed bonuses of $500 for certified employees and $400 for classified employees. The total cost would have been $2.5 million, mostly from federal funds.
