KIMBALL, Tenn. - A former Marion County preacher has been indicted on a charge of possessing child pornography, authorities said Friday.
David Hoschar, 55, turned himself in at the Marion County Justice Center this week and was booked on a single count of sexual exploitation of a minor, records show.
Hoschar was pastor of the Kimball Baptist Church but resigned earlier this year, authorities said.
Hoschar posted a $7,500 bond and appeared in a Marion County courtroom on Friday for a preliminary hearing.
The charge comes after an eight-month investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, TBI spokeswoman Kristen Helm said in a news release Friday.
"[The TBI] executed a search warrant on the home of Mr. Hoschar in mid-April of this year," Helm said. She said child porn was found on his computer.
