Hamilton County: Winters announces commission run

Chattanooga businessman Jim Winters, who ran for Hamilton County sheriff in 2008, has announced that he’s seeking a seat on the County Commission.

Mr. Winters is running in District 8, where Commissioner Curtis Adams is stepping down after 22 years on the commission.

Mr. Winters is a former East Ridge police officer and investigator for the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s office.

He is running as an independent.
