  • Fitness centers add nutrition programs to aid weight loss
    More than 30 percent of Tennessee adults in 2008 were considered obese, and only 26 percent of adults in the U.S. eat fruits and vegetables at least five times a week, according to the Centers for Disease Control. The area's obesity problem prompted several local athletic clubs to begin offering nutritional options in addition to a place to work out.
