What: Earthquake Sound Quake

Tired of the sissy subwoofer that came with your home theater system? Check out Earthquake Sound's Quake Tactile Transducers. The high-end speaker company has created an alternative that will literally shake your couch. Once we bolted the sub-harmonic driver to our couch and fired up a movie, the difference was obvious we could feel every amplified explosion and the bass from songs hit right through the couch. The complementary amplifier hooks up to your subwoofer port, eliminating the need to connect with your speakers, and the system can even be built to support up to four drivers. While it's definitely an investment to get these puppies going in your house, anyone serious about home theater will enjoy the complement to action movies and explosive gaming.

Rating: 8/10

Details: MQB-1 -- $325.00. Amplifier (XJ-300R) -- $550.00; www.earthquakesound.com
