Georgia gets center pledge

Georgia continued to assemble early in-state football commitments for its 2011 signing class Monday by receiving a pledge from David Andrews.

The 6-foot-2, 275-pound center from Wesleyan High in Norcross also had early scholarship offers from Duke and Michigan, according to Rivals.com. He joins College Park linebacker Amarlo Herrera (6-2, 215), Griffin defensive back Corey Moore (6-2, 195) and Tucker athlete Chris Sanders (6-1, 185) in having committed to the Bulldogs.

Having four commitments this early is not unusual in the Southeastern Conference, as Alabama also has four and LSU a whopping nine, including eight from Louisiana.
