Several have asked what happened to the American flag at the Veteran's Park, so your intrepid reporter found out. The answer is that the metal wire that runs inside the pole to raise and lower the flag had become rusty and it broke. Problem is that you need a 150-foot-tall crane to fix it, and the park has been quite soggy of late.

In other news, I just wanted to congratulate Jeremiah Smith and Emily Wright on their nuptials on Sunday, it was by far the prettiest wedding I have ever seen at the Collegedale Church, and I have been to a lot of them. Unfortunately, the newlyweds will be moving to downtown Chattanooga and not staying in Collegedale. Maybe this is a trend we need to ponder.
