Chattanooga: Republican finance chairman takes post on Election Commission

Brandon Lewis has stepped down as finance chairman for the Hamilton County Republican Party to serve on the county's Election Commission, according to a news release from the county GOP.

"When you want to make improvements in your community, the ballot box is a great place to start," Mr. Lewis said. "If I can help facilitate or improve that process by serving on the Election Commission it will be time well spent."

The Hamilton County Election Commission has three Republicans and two Democrats: Chairman Mike Walden and Commissioner J.B. Bennett are Republicans, commissioners James Anderson and Jerry Summers are Democrats.
