These days, mobile phones do everything but windows. (Not Microsoft Windows; they do that.) Now, cell phones can be projectors.
The recently released LG Expo from AT&T comes with the option of attaching a Pico projector, which allows anything on the phone's screen to be projected on to a wall or blank space at up to 66 inches from up to eight feet away.
This is the first device in North America to feature such an option, according to Cathy Lewandowski, spokesperson for AT&T. The feature makes the Expo a handy tool for Power Point presentations or instructional videos. Or, you know, for impromptu showings of "Iron Man" in the break room.
"It's a really great device that is really wonderful for business professionals because as they have these high demands for data use and sharing data, for folks on the go in their busy line of work they can take this device (to enhance their work productivity," Ms. Lewandowski said.
The Expo launched on Dec. 7, 2009 and is available for purchase on the AT&T Web site for $199.99 after mail-in rebate. A nationwide in-store release has not yet been announced.
