ST. ELMO: Funk Fest at Incline

It's Funk Fest at the Incline Railway's Summer of Fun Concert Series on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The all-day free music series features Kofi Mawuko, Tommy Cotter, Mike Hale and Elizabeth Miller.

On Saturday night, an opening night reception for "Keeping It Alive," a street art installation at Asher Love Gallery, will be taking place from 6-9 p.m. The two-month show will feature original art by street artist Sour One painted directly onto the walls and surfaces at the gallery. Additional works on canvas, board, signs and other found materials and objects will also be a part of the site-specific installationm which intends to bring the outside indoors. Admission is free. Thursday and Fridays are Vinyl Night at Pasha Coffee and Tea from 6-9 p.m with $1 coffee and vinyl records spinning all evening. Come and listen to records, and bring your own if you'd like.

Music Monday at Pasha's Coffee and Tea features the Peace of Mind Orchestra from 6:30-9 p.m. It's free.

The Tennessee Bouldering Authority's Ante-Up Camp Series takes place on Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m. The series is a weekly training competition from May to August and features four categories and the top 5 boulder problems. Call 423-822-6800

New Voices Poetry Reading returns to Pashas on Saturday, July 17, from 6-8:30 p.m. Enjoy readings by local writers and intermission music by Dr. Jim Woodford and friends.

After poetry, walk on over to the Moccasin Bend Brewery for local brews and live music from Dave Dykes and The Grateful Hearts beginning at 8:30 p.m.
