Georgia redshirt sophomore football players Dontavius Jackson and Tavarres King were arrested this morning in Athens by university police.

Jackson, a reserve running back, was charged with six misdemeanors, including DUI, underage possession and leaving the scene of an accident. He was booked at 6:25 a.m., according to the Clarke County Sheriff's jail booking report, and remained there as of late morning.

King was booked at 5:55 on an underage possession charge and released at 7:04 after posting $500 bond, according to the report.

The 20-year-old Jackson had four carries for 38 yards last season and is better known for being the "peacemaker" during a late-night taxi cab incident March 28 in which a married couple filed assault charges. He also was charged this morning with following too closely, violating the move over law and driving with a learner's permit.

King, 19, had 18 receptions for 377 yards and a touchdown last season.
