Greyhound has new temporary Nashville terminal

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Greyhound has a temporary bus terminal just a block from Interstate 40 in downtown Nashville.

It's off the Charlotte Avenue exit at a former car dealership near the state Capitol.

The old location was farther into downtown. The terminal had to be relocated to make way for construction of a new convention center.

According to The Tennessean newspaper, bus schedules remain unchanged.

Greyhound says it transported more than 135,000 travelers from its Nashville location in 2009.

A site for a permanent terminal has not been announced.
