Escaped prisoner James Ellis Russell is back in custody Wednesday morning after an anonymous tip led to his recapture, according to the Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Russell had escaped from the Bledsoe County Jail Monday.
Sergeant Ron Whitt said Sheriff Jimmy Morris, Lieutenant Chris Holland and Sergeant Jake Brewer apprehended Mr. Russell at the edge of Cumberland County at approximately 2:30 a.m.
Mr. Russell was originally charged with domestic assault and failure to appear, according to Sergeant Whitt.
