Last week, I mentioned that the Women's Ministry Group of the Chattanooga Seventh-day Adventist Church is selling a cookbook called "Pleasures from the Good Earth" for $20. Led by Ruth Parnell, the group is raising money to buy supplies for gifts to give kids at orphanages and hospitals. Here are some new phone numbers for those interested in buying it. After traveling more than 6,000 miles and seeing hundreds of small towns, I sure am glad to get back to Collegedale. I am also reminded how lucky we are to have the Greenbrier community in our town. As we drove in we saw the U.S. flags and banners still fluttering in the breeze, the freshly tended lawns and the beautiful lakes and ponds. Makes me wish the kids were grown and I wasn't 36 so we could move in. I really don't think the citizens of Collegedale and the area realize just how lucky we are to have such a beautiful retirement community in our town. Green Acres may be the "place to be," but as for me, I will take Greenbrier.
