There are 455 acres right here in Hixson at Chester Frost Park for you and your family to enjoy and explore. The summer heat may keep you at the beach and in the lake. There are nine fishing piers, two boat ramps, 200 campsites and you can play sand volleyball.
The park has numerous shelters for rent for small groups to up to 300 people in the indoor pavilion. They rent from $49 to $430 for all day.
So bring the dog (on a leash), $11 to set up a tent and camp and have some great outdoor fun. The park is located at 2318 North Gold Point Circle off Hixson Pike. For information, call 842-0177.
