Fans are asking: Where's Robert Pattinson?

By now you should know that 20th Century Fox has been in town for a month shooting "Water for Elephants," starring Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon.

Pattinson fans have been tearing up the Internet trying to figure out where the "Twilight" and "Harry Potter" star will be this weekend when a good deal of shooting is supposed to take place. Officials won't say where the shooting locations are or even if either star will be here.

Chattanooga is trying very hard to become a destination site for film studios because of the attention and money it brings in, so their desire to protect such info is understandable.

When we reported on Wednesday that fans around the country were talking online about their plans for coming here, it apparently made some of those fans mad.

An Internet poster with the screen name west cove raised23 posted on one of the sites "Don't post any info on here, the stupid paper has probably already made the crew nervous since the article specifically named kensington (sic) and the choo choo (sic)."

I got a personal e-mail from one of the posters stating that a private discussion group had been set up and that the story would make it harder for fans to get close to the stars.

Our intention was to keep people informed and maybe replace some rumors with facts, not harsh anyone's mellow.

For instance, the folks at the Choo Choo do admit that members of the crew have been staying there, but they have no knowledge that either star will be there, and they say no scenes will be shot there.

By the way, if you do happen to get a good picture of the stars, please e-mail it to webeditor@timesfreepress.com.

Foodies will want to mark their calendars for the Chattanooga Market on Aug. 8 and Aug. 15.

The Toyota Farm to Table Tour has chosen Chattanooga as one of 11 stops it will make around the country. The event will team a dozen local chefs with area farmers to create food samples that market patrons can try. There also will be an herb specialist on hand giving away samples and offering tips about growing your own.

The following week, the market will change up the FiveStar Food Fight by allowing nonprofessional cooks the chance to compete for prizes against last year's winner, Anna Scott.

If interested, you have until Aug. 7 to apply at foodfight@chattanooga market.org. You can send a simple request with contact information, create a Youtube video or do whatever you think will earn you a spot as one of the four contestants.
