Yard sale season is here. St. Augustine Catholic Church will be conducting its annual yard sale to raise funds to support Haitian students. Dubbed the "Hot as Haiti Yard Sale," it's set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Mountain Arts Community Center Coffeehouse series will take place again Saturday at 6 p.m. Taking place at Sweet Gipsy Bakeshop on James Boulevard, the coffeehouse will feature local musicians with an open mike session at the end. A taste treat this month will feature "design-your-own" quesadillas. Admission is free but donations to the MACC Foundation will be gladly accepted.
The MACC Foundation and The Mountain Education Fund will be sponsoring the first "Signal Mountain Yard Sale" in conjunction with the "World's Largest Yard Sale" next Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 5-8. Booth space is available for one day or all four days, so contact 322-8445 for more information.
