Nashville man charged with second murder

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Metro Nashville Police say they have charged a man with a second homicide after his arrest in Georgia.

A news release from the department said 30-year-old Demeko Duckworth is charged with murder in the fatal shooting of 38-year-old Clarence Goins on July 19.

Duckworth also faces a murder charge in the stabbing death of his 30-year-old girlfriend Asia Wade. Her body was found in her bedroom on July 20.

Police said the victims were cousins. Duckworth is held in the Gwinnett County Jail in Georgia, pending extradition to Tennessee.
