Bluegrass fest in Delano this weekend

Five bands are booked for the Linsdale Community Service Center Bluegrass Festival this weekend in Polk County, Tenn. Scheduled to perform are Bluetastic Fangrass, Reliance, The Drive, Just Us and Between the Lines. Music starts at 7 tonight and 1 p.m. Saturday. Jammers are welcome at the festival, a rain-or-shine event that takes place in a large, covered building. Lawn chairs are recommended for seating. Concessions include country food. Barbecue chicken will be served Saturday. Admission is $8 for both days or $5 per day. The festival site is five miles outside Benton. Follow Highway 11 to Calhoun or Highway 411 to Delano, then take Highway 163 and follow the signs. Call 423-715-0369 or e-mail schenckcd@aol.com.
