CLEVELAND: 'Wild River' Days on Saturday

"Wild River," a film directed by Oscar winner Elia Kazan, was released May 26, 1960 by 20th Century Fox. The first major motion picture filmed entirely in Tennessee, most of the movie was filmed in Bradley County. More than 140 local residents were involved.

On Saturday, a community-wide celebration, Wild River Days Festival, will be held in Charleston, Tenn. Activities include entertainment in Charleston Park throughout the day with the Collins Brothers Band at 6 p.m. Food vendors in the park, a vintage car show, continuous showing of the movie, Wild River, and much more also will be on hand.
