Chattanooga: Craft custody hearing set for June 14

After attempts at mediation on Monday, Tonya Craft and her lawyers are expected in Hamilton County Circuit Court June 14 for a hearing that they hope will establish a regular visitation pattern with her two children.

It's the first step for Ms. Craft in her quest to regain full custody after a North Georgia jury recently acquitted the former school teacher of 22 child molestation charges.

The story made national headlines, spurring Ms. Craft to appear on many national news shows to talk about what she said all along were false allegations against her. She since has filed a $25 million lawsuit against her accusers in federal court.

Ms. Craft's lawyers declined to comment about what happened in Monday's mediation behind closed doors, but the meeting with her ex-husband, Joal Henke, had been planned as an alternative to a public court appearance.
