ASK A DIETITIAN

Q: Yogurt is supposed to be healthy, but which ones should I buy? Are some really better than others?

A: Look for types without added sugar in syrup such as "fruit on the bottom" and those with cookies or candy pieces on top. Choose yogurts that are labeled light or low-fat and made without additional sugar. Greek yogurt is also a great alternative to standard yogurt. It is low in fat with a creamy texture that is sure to satisfy.
