DUNLAP: Family & Community Day set at church

The Dunlap Church of God will have Family & Community Day on Saturday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be a car show with no required entry fee but donations will be appreciated. There also will be family fund, food and fellowship. For more information, call 949-2790 or 940-4736.

The Tennessee Small Business Development Center of Chattanooga State Community College has installed a computer station in the office provided at the Sequatchie County-Dunlap Chamber of Commerce at 13 Rankin Ave. N. Kevin Maxfield, director of the Chattanooga Center, has established a day and time he will be available to assist individuals on the fourth Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. until noon CDT. The purpose of the online center is to provide Internet-accessible small business seminars and online counseling as part of an ongoing effort to provide easier access to Tennessee Small Business Development Center services.

The Chamber has two new members - Caring Hearts and The Original Dunlap Hot Dog-L&L Concessions.

Caring Hearts, located in the former Remax Realty office, provides adult day services with safe and secured environment and will provide meals, snacks, personal care, entertainment and a calm home-like setting. Caring Hearts may be reached at 423-240-1530 or e-mail to Lrhobart@bellsouth.net.

The Original Dunlap Hot Dog-L&L Concessions is owned by Lucretia and Larry Bouget. Mrs. Bouget said they have all kinds of toppings for the dogs.

Dunlap Lions Club annual O.K. Hege Memorial Horse Show will be held Saturday, June 26, at 6:30 p.m. CDT at John Griswold Park in Dunlap.

The sixth annual Sequatchie County Bullpen Golf Tournament will be held June 26 at 9 a.m. CDT at Montlake Golf Course. The format will be a four-man select shot, $50 per player, shotgun start, mulligans available, door prizes and gift bags to all participants.
