Come have lunch at the Battlefield Farmers' Market, which has begun the third season of its "Monday Markets" in downtown LaFayette. The hours are Mondays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The park is located in the 300 block of North Main Street. Monday's Market will run until Aug. 30.
A special feature at this years' market is the Battlefield Farmers' Market teaming up with other non-profit organizations who will provide lunches to raise money for their charities.
The market is still at the Walker County Agricultural Center, 10052 U.S. 27 in Rock Spring, on Wednesdays from 3-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-noon until the second week in November, with all the freshest fruits and vegetables found in our area along with value-added products such as baked goods, jams, jellies and grass-fed beef.
