BRAINERD: Learn how to butterfly garden

Grace Episcopal Church's Third Day Gardeners will meet for a session on butterfly gardening taught by long-time Master Gardener Lisa Lemza on Sunday at 4 p.m. All are welcome. The name "Third Day Gardeners" refers to Genesis 1:11-13, describing the day on which God created plants and all green things in the timeless Creation Story.

Monthly garden sessions will continue in the east entrance of Grace Episcopal Church's Undercroft (under the Sanctuary/Nave, from the Brainerd Road parking lot). A tour of the planned butterfly garden along Sunbeam Avenue (proposed for a fall 2010 installation) will occur for any interested after the class. Call 332-1780 for details.

This summer, Brainerd Baptist Church is inviting all school-aged children to set sail for Vacation Bible School fun on the High Seas. Kids will feel the sea spray on their face as sails snap overhead. They'll experience the deep rolling waters of God's love and his word. Don't miss the ship - register now to be a part of this High Seas Expedition Vacation Bible School. The dates are Sunday-Thursday, June 27-July 1. Each night starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs to 8:20 p.m. The last night, July 1, will have a family night afterwards with inflatables and a dunking booth. You can register your elementary school-aged children by visiting www.brainerdbaptist.org or calling 423-629-4202.
